Two of the biggest heavyweight fighters in the world will collide at Wembley Stadium when Tyson Fury faces off against Dillian Whyte for the WBC Heavyweight Championship title on Saturday 23rd April 2022.
This will be the first time in almost 29 years that an all British Heavyweight World Title fight has taken place, and so promises to be a meteoric occasion for the sport, it will also be Fury’s first bout in the UK for almost four years.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Gypsy King is down as the favourite but both camps have much support, with some suggesting an upset is on the cards. Whatever happens, the fight will take place in front of a sold-out crowd of 90,000 under the famous Wembley Stadium arch.
Fury’s promoter Bob Arum is on record as saying, “Tyson Fury conquered America, and it is only fitting that he defends the heavyweight championship in a packed Wembley Stadium.”
