The Queen’s Club is a private sports venue in West Kensington, London, and is home to the national headquarters of ‘real tennis’ – the original form of tennis with ties back to the 12th century in France, from which the current sport of tennis evolved from.
The club is famous worldwide for hosting the annual Queen’s Club Championships, known as the Cinch Championships after its title sponsor, which is held in early June and is often seen as a precursor to the Wimbledon Championships which follows shortly after.
Known for being one of the most prestigious tennis clubs in the UK, the club enjoys some of the best tennis courts in the world and membership remains one of the most coveted in the country.
