ParisLongchamp Racecourse (originally known as Longchamp before a refurbishment that completed in 2017), is quite simply the home of French racing and attracts visitors from all over the world to its gates every year.
This historic venue is located within the Bois de Boulogne, the former royal hunting grounds which is now a huge public park with lakes, nature trails and botanical gardens. The course is also adjacent to the wonderfully scenic Seine River.
The racecourse is most famous for hosting the annual Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe. Run every October the ‘Arc’ is one of Europe’s more prestigious races and the most valuable with a prize purse of €5 million.
Thanks to its enviable location in Paris there are excellent transportation links, and most guests take advantage of these rather than drive.
ParisLongchamp also plays host to several other major events, notably the Solidays festival which sees 160,000 festival-goers and over 150 artists raise money in the fight against AIDS, and the Download festival since 2016.
ParisLongchamp Racecourse enjoys a beautiful location within the Bois de Boulogne park in Paris.
