King Power Stadium (formerly known as the Walkers Stadium) is home to Leicester City FC and has been since its construction in 2002 and was the venue where the Foxes lifted the Premier League title in 2016.
Inside the stadium, the acoustics make for an excellent atmosphere on match days, both sets of supporters can make a lot of noise, somewhat unique in newer builds which seem to be more functional in design.
The stadium honours its past greats with various suites and lounges named after the club’s former players including Gordon Banks, Gary Linker and Keith Weller, while the ground still retains a link to its predecessor, being built on Filbert Way.
Aside from football, King Power Stadium has hosted Rugby Union matches, most notably during Rugby World Cup 2015 where three pool matches were held, and a few Leicester Tigers fixtures when their home grounds were insufficient.
Facilities within the stadium are excellent thanks to its relatively new build, and while not as extensive as other grounds the range of Corporate Hospitality packages offer a good experience.
Originally called the Walkers Stadium, it was renamed to the King Power Stadium in 2011.
