The Emerald Headingley Cricket Ground was first established in 1890 and is unique in its construction as part of a wider stadium complex that sees its main stand shared with the adjacent Headingley Rugby Stadium.
More commonly referred to as simply ‘Headingley’, the stadium is the main home ground of Yorkshire County Cricket Club and Yorkshire Vikings Twenty20 cricket team and has become core to the sporting culture in Leeds.
Headingley Cricket Ground has played host to top-flight international cricket since the early 1900s, with many notable moments in its history from defeating a touring Australia in 1902 by just five wickets, to hosting four matches at the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup.
There are ambitious plans to transform the ground into one of the finest venues in the world, working in conjunction with Leeds Rugby, Leeds City Council and DLA Architecture to increase the capacity of the grounds to 20,000 and enhance corporate facilities.
While those plans are under way the stadium still provides a multitude of Corporate Hospitality facilities in the main Emerald Stand and Headingley Pavilion which provide excellent views of the famous pitch.
