×Piazza Italia is the most popular hospitality facility in the Stadio Olimpico for International Rugby Union. The package combines dining in a shared hospitality suite with exclusive VIP prime seating.
The main stand in the Stadio Olimpico is the Tribuna Monte Mario, which is named after the Monte Mario hill in the NW of Rome. The stand is side-on to the action and has a capacity of 16,500 out of a stadium capacity of 70,634. The hospitality facility is an attractive suite with access to a terrace with panoramic views of the pitch.
The suite has been decorated to a high standard, even the pillars have been transformed into striking rugby imagery. There are round corporate dining tables & a central buffet area.
Branded round tables are provided but guests may be required to share a table. Private tables are available for 10 guests. Please note that seating after the match is casual.
The hospitality facility opens 2 hrs before kick-off, which is not a great deal of time for reception and lunch, which is a pity considering the efforts made to present the hospitality. Lunch consists of a buffet showcasing local and classic Italian cuisine, including live cooking stations. Coffee is served during half-time and post-match snacks are served.
A commemorative gift is provided for each guest.
The seats are located in the most prestigious section of the Monte Mario Stand, that being Tribuna D’Onore Centrale (The Central Honour Stand). These are prime seats between the 22m and halfway line in the equivalent of the Middle Tier. More impressively part of the D’Onore is split into small exclusive outdoor areas (which the Italians refer to as “boxes”, Palchi Centrale), which allow groups of 4, 6 or 8 guests to have their own mini-bar during the match and a small TV screen! There is a surcharge applied for groups requiring box-seating of approx. €50 per person. Alternatively, you will have excellent seats in the D’Onore Centrale.
A glass of Prosecco is offered on arrival and local wines are served during lunch. Draught beers are served to your seats during the match, which is a nice touch. Drinks are available post-match for 60 minutes. Please note that there is no Prosecco served after the reception and there are no spirits.
Service is left to the waiting staff, there is not a formal hostess service.
There are no guest-speakers however there is an opportunity to meet a couple of past Italian players.
There are a few TV monitors in elevated locations in the suite, and of course a small monitor in your private seating “box” if you choose to upgrade.
Car park passes are provided on a 1:3 basis.
