×The Leander Club, a private Members’ Club that was founded in 1818, is regarded as the world’s premier rowing club. The Leander Club boasts an unsurpassed record in rowing achievements, it is home to heroes such as Sir Steve Redgrave CBE and Sir Matthew Pinsent CBE. The Leander Club is situated past the Finish Post of the Regatta just before Henley Bridge, on the same Berkshire side as the Stewards’ Enclosure.
The Members’ Marquee is located in the grounds of the Clubhouse, it provides a less formal dining experience than the Eton & Members’ Balcony Rooms, which are situated inside the Clubhouse. The marquee is adjacent to the crew boating area and River Terrace and provides a lively atmosphere. You will certainly enjoy the hustle and bustle of the river at the end of the races as the boats return to land.
The marquee is nicely appointed and accommodates round dining tables. It is open at one side to create an alfresco environment and white picket fencing divides areas within the marquee which is attractive. There is also outdoor garden furniture around the frontage.
Private tables are available for bookings of 10 guests, smaller bookings cannot be made.
An admission badge to the Leander Club is included, as well as an exclusive badge to allow you to watch the races. The facility does not include admission into the Stewards’ Enclosure, which is located a little downstream on the same (Berkshire) side of the river.
Catering is a key element of your day at Henley. You will be given refreshments on arrival followed by a three-course luncheon, which usually includes the choice of a hot dish or a lobster salad. Traditional Afternoon Tea is served later in the day.
Your day includes a glass of ‘Leander Pink’ prior to lunch and half-a-bottle of wine during lunch. Additional drinks are charged extra.
A Riverboat Cruise is not included; however, a private 1½ hour launch can be booked (for groups up to 12 guests) at an additional charge to view some of the races close up.
Service is left to the waiting staff, there is not a hostess service.
There are no car park passes included although these can be arranged for an additional cost.
A souvenir Henley Royal Regatta Racing Programme is provided.
The dress code at the Leander Club is similar to the Stewards’ Enclosure, in that gentlemen are required to wear lounge suits, or jackets/blazers with flannels, together with a tie or cravat. Ladies are required to wear dresses or skirts, with a hemline below the knee.

The Stewards’ Enclosure requires gentlemen to wear lounge suits, or jackets/blazers with flannels and a tie or cravat, ladies are required to wear dresses or skirts with a hemline below the knee. Outside of the enclosure, the atmosphere is less formal though most dress up, wearing club blazers and other rowing apparel.
Please allow extra time to enter car parks near the Regatta due to security measures and the one-way system in place during the Regatta which is indicated by signs. The main taxi drop point during the Regatta is on the main road, just a short walk from the enclosures.
