×Phyllis Court is an elegant private Members’ Club founded in 1906 and is situated in 18 acres of prime riverside location opposite the finish line of the Regatta. Hospitality takes place in private sections (boxes) of the striking Riverside Pavilion, which is perched on the bank of the River Thames, from where you can enjoy uninterrupted views of the Club grounds, Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire countryside, and of course the River Thames. The Riverside Pavilion is a historic Grade II listed building and was originally named the Grandstand when it was constructed in 1913. It became a landmark on the River Thames at the time and it remains so today. In recent years it has been dramatically transformed into an elegant and impressive space.
The private corporate boxes in the Riverside Pavilion share a private balcony that overlooks the Finish Line of the Henley Royal Regatta, situated on the Upper Level of the beautifully refurbished Riverside Pavilion. Your exclusive private box sits above the water’s edge and has uninterrupted views of the Regatta course.
The two-storey Grade II listed Riverside Pavilion has a modern feel with retractable floor-to-ceiling glazed doors that provide plenty of natural daylight and panoramic views of the River Thames and grounds, as well as access to a private balcony. An expansive run of bi-fold doors allows the space to reveal its full potential and flexibility, to create private corporate boxes. The round tables are dressed attractively, commensurate with a fine-dining event.
Service is left to the waiting staff, there is not a hostess service.
Private boxes are available for bookings of 12 guests or multiples thereof, the overall capacity is limited to approximately 100 guests.
An admission badge to Phyllis Court is included, however, generally there are no tickets required to watch the Regatta. The facility does not include admission into the Stewards’ Enclosure, which is located directly opposite on the Berkshire side of the river.
Catering is a key element of your day at Henley. There is an extensive selection of canapés prior to lunch, and although lunch is only 3-course, you will be offered a fine à la carte menu to choose from. Later in the day, you will be served a luxury Afternoon Tea of finger sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and preserves, strawberries and cream, and tea & coffee.
There is a Champagne & Pimms reception, and the bar is complimentary including beers, wines, and soft drinks. Please note that Champagne is an extra charge after the reception and spirits are not included in the free bar.
A Riverboat Cruise is included, from the facility’s private moorings, which runs throughout the day, you will be allocated a specific time for you and your guests. The boats accommodate a maximum of 12 guests, so larger groups will require multiple trips. This is a popular addition to the day. The cruise lasts for 1½ hours.
There is a TV monitor in each box, which enable you to keep track of other sporting events taking place, notably Wimbledon.
Reserved car parking is available in the grounds of Phyllis Court (1 per 2 guests). One host pass is also included, which provides a space in the Club forecourt.
Your company name can be displayed on the door of your private box.
There is a strict dress code at Phyllis Court. The traditional Henley Royal Regatta attire is a blazer and tie or cravat, with chinos or flannels. Otherwise, a lounge suit or sports jacket are acceptable, with a tie or cravat. The wearing of boaters or panamas is encouraged but not compulsory. Ladies are kindly reminded that formal daywear is a requirement at this prestigious event. Dresses and skirts should be of modest length with the hemline falling on the knee or longer. While it is not a requirement, it is customary for ladies to wear hats or fascinators. Ladies are not permitted to wear jeans, shorts, or trousers of any kind.

The Stewards’ Enclosure requires gentlemen to wear lounge suits, or jackets/blazers with flannels and a tie or cravat, ladies are required to wear dresses or skirts with a hemline below the knee. Outside of the enclosure, the atmosphere is less formal though most dress up, wearing club blazers and other rowing apparel.
