Theatre@ Restaurant is an ambitious and unique hospitality option introduced by Cheltenham over the past few years. The restaurants' Pan-Asian cuisine has received high accolades with many returning customers.
Situated on the third floor (top) of the largest temporary glass-fronted box structure in Europe. The restaurant boasts a large outside viewing balcony, from where guests enjoy views of the horses as they race down the hill and over the final two fences. More distant views can be enjoyed of the horses going up the hill towards the winning post.
Opulent theming adds to the drama. Tables are square/rectangle, which allows the racecourse to accommodate different-sized groups and makes the atmosphere more casual.
Private booths are available for ten guests seated on long benches facing seats (sometimes requiring guests to move to allow others to leave the table!). The racecourse charges a surcharge for the booths; however, they allow for a level of privacy.
A Club Admission ticket is included, which is the premier enclosure at Cheltenham. Race viewing is standing from the outside balcony (there are no seats).
Breakfast bites are served on arrival with artisan tea & coffee. Lunch is the main highlight when flavours garnished from across Asia are delivered via the local farms of The Cotswolds. You can expect the menu to be inspiring, innovative, and served to a high standard. Afternoon Tea is a sweet & savoury twist.
There is a Champagne & cocktails reception, and the bar is complimentary including, wines, beers, spirits, and soft drinks. Please note, however, that Champagne is an extra charge after the reception has concluded.
Service is left to the waiting staff. There is not a hostess service, however, the caterers allocate some of their best staff to this facility to ensure a high service level is maintained.
The package does not include a racing tipster.
There are ample TV monitors throughout the facility.
Car park passes are allocated on a 1:2 basis, car parking is situated in the general public areas.
A Racecard is included, and there are Tote betting facilities available.
Officially there is no dress code at Cheltenham, the course recommends dressing for the weather. However, in hospitality areas, gentlemen usually wear a suit or similar, and many ladies choose to wear county-style hats.
The racecourse postcode is GL50 4SH for use with GPS equipment. However, on a race day, customers are strongly advised to follow temporary signs when entering Cheltenham and the local area and not the brown permanent signs.
