Ideally placed alongside the final two fences, the Horse & Groom pub recreates the look and feel of an upmarket bar, serving real ale alongside classic pub grub like juicy burgers and chunky chips. This relaxed facility is perfect for a more informal entertaining experience and is one of the more unique experiences available.
This hospitality package celebrates the traditional pub, with everything on offer inspired by that train of thought from the breakfast bites on arrival to the ‘best of British’ afternoon tea. The only difference is the complimentary bar!
The Horse & Groom package comes with a club admission badge so guests can feel free to explore the course and have access to the main viewing grandstand directly opposite the final post.

×Introduced in 2019, this facility is a triumph. The gastro-pub experience is delivered to Cheltenham with superb theming. This facility offers a relaxed, informal, and charming experience.
Situated on Level 1 (Level 3 is the top floor) of the largest temporary glass-fronted box structure in Europe. Although this is the lowest level, it is still elevated, above ground level. The restaurant boasts a large outside viewing balcony, from where guests enjoy views of the horses as they race down the hill and over the final two fences. More distant views can be enjoyed of the horses going up the hill towards the winning post.
The theming in this facility is fabulous, so much care and attention has been lavished on the space, from wooden flooring, racing memorabilia and wooden beams – it’s hard to believe that it is only a temporary structure!
Private Tables are available for ten guests, smaller groups will be asked to share.
A Club Admission ticket is included, which is the premier enclosure at Cheltenham. Race viewing is standing from the outside balcony (there are no seats).
You can expect a classic 3-course à-la-carte pub-style luncheon, which tends to work perfectly with Jump Racing. Breakfast bites are included in the morning, followed by a Best of British savoury Afternoon Tea in the afternoon.
There is a complimentary bar including wines, draught & bottled beers, spirits, and soft drinks. Please note, however, that Champagne is an extra charge.
Service throughout is left to the waiting staff. There is not a hostess service.
The package does not include a racing tipster.
There are ample TV monitors throughout the facility.
Car park passes are allocated on a 1:2 basis, car parking is situated in the general public areas.
A Racecard is included, and there are Tote betting facilities available.

Officially there is no dress code at Cheltenham, the course recommends dressing for the weather. However, in hospitality areas, gentlemen usually wear a suit or similar, and many ladies choose to wear county-style hats.
The racecourse postcode is GL50 4SH for use with GPS equipment. However, on a race day, customers are strongly advised to follow temporary signs when entering Cheltenham and the local area and not the brown permanent signs.
