Marian College Marquee Hospitality Critic Review

Introduction

A luxuriously appointed hospitality marquee in the grounds of the lovely Marian College provides a capacity for some 400 guests. This facility is only available for premium matches, such as Ireland v England. There is usually a good atmosphere in the marquee.

Location

Marian College is a Catholic boy's secondary boys’ school, situated on Lansdowne Road, only a 5-minute walk from the Aviva Stadium. The marquee is situated in the attractive grounds of the College.

Facility/Décor

The marquee is an attractively furnished facility providing traditional hospitality on round tables.

Private Tables

Private tables are available for 10-12 guests. Smaller groups will need to share a table.

Admission

When Marian College is available to book the seats allocated tend to be in either West Upper Block 527 or East Lower 106 & 107 (Tryline to 22m). The East Lower seats are preferable.

Catering

You can expect to enjoy a 3-course luncheon prior to the match and post-match finger food.

Dress Code

Most hospitality options have no strict dress codes, however, smart casual is generally adopted (no trainers), it is advised to dress for the weather.

Getting There

An exclusion zone operates on matchdays meaning guests must either walk from the city centre (3km) or use public transport. The closest railway station is Lansdowne Road, which is part of the suburban railway in Dublin known as the DART, and Dublin Bus operates a range of services to the area around the ground.
