The Havelock Restaurant is a popular hospitality suite at the Aviva Stadium, always guaranteed to sell out. The suite is named after a square of that name nestling directly behind the stadium. This restaurant is considered to be the prime hospitality offering in the stadium for guests looking to attend a single match.
Situated on the Executive Premium Level (Middle Tier – Level 4) of the Aviva Stadium, this tier boasts a more corporate ambience. The Havelock is situated in the South Stand, the suite has pitch views and you watch the rugby from your seats directly in front.
The suite has floor to ceiling windows with full pitch views, there are also great views at the rear of the Dublin skyline. It has a subtle décor and guests are seated on round tables. There are a few pillars in the room, which may affect views of the celebrity-speakers for some guests.
Private tables are available for 8, 10, 12 or 18 guests. Smaller groups will need to share a table.
The seats included are directly in front of the suite, they are padded seats in the South Premium Level, behind the posts and towards the corners.
The facility opens 2.5 hrs before kick-off, which seems a little tight for reception and lunch. You can expect to enjoy a 3-course luncheon prior to the match and post-match finger food.
There is a complimentary bar, including fine wines, however, Champagne is not included. The bar is only open for 1-hour after the match has ended. The advantage of the Havelock Suite is that you can return to your tables for half-time drinks.
Service is left to the waiting staff, there is not a formal hostess service.
There is a pre-match celebrity guest speaker, and guests will be delighted when current Irish team players return for a Q&A after the match.
There are a few TV screens in the restaurant to view other sporting events or video highlights, but certainly not enough for all guests to have a view.
There are no car park passes included in this package, which means guests will have to use public transport, taxis, or source parking themselves in the Ballsbridge area.
A souvenir match programme is included as well as Ref Talk for each guest.
Most hospitality options have no strict dress codes, however, smart casual is generally adopted (no trainers), it is advised to dress for the weather.
An exclusion zone operates on matchdays meaning guests must either walk from the city centre (3km) or use public transport. The closest railway station is Lansdowne Road, which is part of the suburban railway in Dublin known as the DART, and Dublin Bus operates a range of services to the area around the ground.
