The Lawn (previously branded as ‘The Gatsby Club’) is a contemporary glass-fronted marquee structure situated opposite the All England Lawn Tennis Club. The Lawn is an official hospitality facility offering several package options, with the catering overseen by legendary Michelin-starred Chefs, Michel Roux Jr, and daughter Emily Roux. This package is aimed at large corporations who are looking for a private facility at Wimbledon to enhance their prestige.
The Lawn facility is situated on the grounds of Wimbledon Cricket Club, which is directly opposite the main entrance of the All England Club, on Church Road. It is only a 5-minute walk to either Gate 4 or Gate 5. Golf Buggies are provided to reduce this time to less than a minute.
Private groups will be allocated an exclusive section within The Lawn, these private suites have low suspended ceilings, and they are self-contained space with a private bar, although guests can still enjoy access to the other facilities within The Lawn. You will also have a small private balcony, which leads to the communal garden. The Lawn is a huge glass-fronted facility, with natural light streaming through. In some areas, it resembles a smart modern airport departure lounge with a very tall canvas ceiling, albeit it is an attractive space. There is a Mezzanine Level, which has a cosier feel. There is a keen attention to detail with linen drapes and a soft pastel colour scheme. The shared outside garden area is pleasant, however, it enclosed by 20ft high screens that define the space, and there are no views except the rear of the glass-fronted structure. The garden area features a novel ‘foot stream’, lounge garden furniture and a bar.
Private Dining in an exclusive area is available for groups of 40-60 guests. The table configuration is round tables, each seating ten guests.
You have the choice of booking this facility with either official Centre Court or No.1 Court tickets. However, the allocated seats are not Debenture Seats (which are acknowledged as the best corporate seats available on Centre Court). You can upgrade to Debenture seats for an additional cost.
Catering consists of a three-course à la carte luncheon designed by the Roux dynasty. Traditional Wimbledon Afternoon Tea consists of cakes, scones, and pastries, as well as Strawberries and Cream.
The complimentary bar features Chilled Champagne and a choice of specially selected wines and beers, as well as bespoke cocktails. The Lawn facility also features a Whisky and Cigar bar.
There are a butler and a personal hostess service to attend to drinks, which enhances service greatly.
There are no celebrity speakers or appearances in this facility.
There are ample TV monitors to allow you to keep track of the tennis, including a giant TV screen in the communal garden area.
Car park passes are allocated on a 1:4 basis, and parking is conveniently outside the facility.
Programmes are available for guests.
While there is no dress code, most hospitality options available request clients dress on the smarter side of casual i.e. no jeans or trainers. Jackets and ties are not obligatory.
GPS users can get to The AELTC using the postcode SW19 5AE, then follow signs for parking. It is strongly urged that visitors arrive by public transport services where possible, the closest tube station is Southfields Station, a 10-15 minute walk.
