×The Papillon Suite is a premium restaurant facility at Aintree Racecourse providing an excellent base for your day at the Grand National meeting, it has been nominated by the Jockey Club as one of its Diamond Marque facilities. The suite is named after the 2000 Grand National winner, ridden by 20-year old Ruby Walsh, and trained by his father, Ted. It has a capacity for 300 guests and is a very popular facility.
The Papillon Suite is situated in an elevated location on the Third Floor of the Earl of Derby Stand. From this location, you can view the horses as they start the Grand National course as well as enjoy a head-on view of the finishing straight and winning post. It is a little closer to the finish post than its sister facility, the Corbiere Suite (in the Lord Sefton Stand).
It is a similar design to the Corbiere Suite with a striking curved ceiling as well as floor to ceiling windows, providing splendid views. The red interior is, however, somewhat garish. The balcony stretches the full length of the suite overlooking the start/finish area of the course. There is also a small balcony to the rear of the suite, with nice views overlooking the Parade Ring area.
Private tables are available for 10-12 guests. Smaller groups will need to share a table.
Premier Course Admission is included.
You can expect upgraded catering by way of an exquisite 4-course à la carte luncheon followed by a deluxe Afternoon Tea.
There is a Champagne Reception and a complimentary bar, including beers, wine, spirits, and soft drinks. Liqueurs are served with Afternoon Tea. Please note that Champagne is an extra cost after the reception.
Service throughout is left to the waiting staff. There is not a hostess service.
There is a Guest Tipster included in this facility.
There are ample TV monitors (if rather small) positioned in an elevated location around the suite.
Car parking close to the Aintree Grandstands is extremely limited, so for the Papillon Suite Aintree has included car parking with chauffeur transfers to get closer to the Grandstands, which is a nice touch.
A Racecard is included, and there are Tote betting facilities available. An Executive Gift is included for each guest.
